Signs of Economic Hardship I was driving through a new area of town yesterday, and I was approached by multiple people at intersections holding signs that read "Homeless, Poor, and COLD. Please help and God-bless", or "Lost my job, need to feed my family, anything you can give will help". Maybe that is normal for the area that I was in, but on a day when the markets plunged again, it was a striking reminder that those numbers mean something - and not just to the people who are invested in the market.

I'm a student at the Jewish Theological Seminary, living somewhere in either Israel or MA!
